Education, qualifications

2009. University of Belgrade Faculty of Mechanical engineering, dipl. mech. eng., 2017. University of Belgrade Faculty of Mechanical engineering, Ph.D mech. eng. Dr. Tamara Bajc is an associate professor at Thermal science engineering department, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade and visiting professor at Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. The main fields of her research are IEQ, thermal comfort, productivity, energy efficient HVAC system and buildings, energy performance certification, renewable energy sources and green buildings. Tamara has 17 years of professional experience both in the process of HVAC projects design and in research and education. She participated in more than 20 HVAC design projects, 7 international projects and 8 national research projects. Currently she is representative of the Republic of Serbia in the Management committee of the COST Action MODENERLANDS CA20109 ''Modular Energy Islands for Sustainability and Resilience'' and CA23139 Network for Indoor Air Cleaning (Net4CleanAir). She was ASHRAE Danube Chapter president for society year 2023-2024. Currently she is an ASHRAE SBA for University of Belgrade, Danube chapter students’ activities co-chair and the member of technical committees: T-TAC-TC04.10 and T-TAC-TC07.01. Tamara holds two engineering licenses from the Serbian Chamber of Engineers for HVAC installation design and energy performance certification and a license for energy manager for buildings. She is a member of the examination Committee for the professional exam for the field of energy efficiency elected by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia and Elected member of the Council of mechanical engineers’ section for the Belgrade regional center of Serbian Chamber of Engineers. She is the author or co-author of more than 50 scientific papers and one book. Further, she is a reviewer for more than 20 international journals from SCI list, for which she reviewed papers more than 100 times. Also, she is an Expert for the evaluation of proposals in the Horizon call funded by European Commission and international calls funded by NITRA. She is in the Editorial board of national scientific journal “KGH” and guest editor in Q1 international journal Energy and buildings Elsevier. She won the Award by the University of Belgrade Foundation of Djoka Vlajkovic for the best scientific paper of young scientists at the University of Belgrade in the field of technical and technological sciences for 2023. year and Award by University of Belgrade Foundation of Veselin Lucic for the best scientific paper at the University of Belgrade in 2024. Tamara speaks fluent English, fluent Slovenian and basic German and Russian.

Author or coauthor of more than 40 scientific papers, 8 at SCI list and one book. ASHRAE Student design competition 2012., category „Intergated Sustainable Building Design“ - third place. First award by University of Belgrade Foundation of Djoka Vlajkovic for the best scientific paper of young scientists at the University of Belgrade in the field of technical and technological sciences for 2023. year. First award by University of Belgrade Foundation of Veselin Lučić for the best scientific paper at the University of Belgrade.
