DETAILED INFORMATION RELATED TO THE CALL AND ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR


STUDY PROGRAMMES FOR WHICH THE CALL IS ANNOUNCED:

Bachelor (undergraduate) academic studies:

Mechanical Engineering (180 ECTS)
Information Technologies in Mechanical Engineering (180 ECTS)

THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS WHO CAN BE ENROLLED:

A total of 620 students will be enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering study programme, of which 520 are students funded by the budget of the Republic of Serbia (state-funded) and 100 are self-financing students.

A total of 60 students will be enrolled in the Information Technologies in Mechanical Engineering study programme, of which 20 are students funded by the budget of the Republic of Serbia (state-funded) and 40 will be self-financing students.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS:

A person who completed four years secondary education may enrol in the first year of Bachelor (undergraduate) academic studies conducted by the University or the Faculty.

CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING THE RANKING OF CANDIDATES:

The ranking of candidates for enrolment in the first year is determined based on the general success in secondary school education and the results achieved in the entrance examination.


A candidate applying for a study programme can achieve a maximum of 100 points, based on general success in secondary school and the results achieved in the entrance exam.


General success in secondary school represents the sum of the average grades in each year of secondary school multiplied by two. On this basis, a candidate can achieve a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 40 points. The overall secondary school achievement is calculated by rounding to two decimal places.


A candidate can achieve from 0 to 60 points in the entrance examination.


Candidates who won one of the first three prizes in a republic or international competition in Mathematics during the third or fourth year of secondary school, from the official competition calendar of the Ministry of Education, are awarded the maximum number of points for the entrance examination.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:

Candidates who have applied for enrolment in Bachelor (undergraduate) academic studies take the entrance examination in Mathematics.

TUITION FEES:

The tuition fee for citizens of the Republic of Serbia for the Mechanical Engineering study programme: 108,000 RSD, and for the Information Technology in Mechanical Engineering study programme: 180,000 RSD.

The tuition fee for foreign citizens: 1,800 EUR (for both the Mechanical Engineering and Information Technologies in Mechanical Engineering study programmes).


BACHELOR (UNDERGRADUTE) ACADEMIC STUDIES 2025/2026.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE APPLICATION:

When applying to the Call, the candidate submits the following documents (photocopies of documents will not be returned):

  1. A printed, filled out and personally signed application form to the Call (the application form is available in the Information Booklet 2025),
  2. A photocopy of birth certificate only for foreign citizens and for candidates born outside the Republic of Serbia,
  3. ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS for inspection (see items 4 and 5),
  4. Photocopies of the certificates of completion for all four years of secondary school (not officially certified, legible),
  5. A photocopy of the secondary school Diploma Certificate or final/ matriculation examination certificate (not officially certified, legible)
  6. A filled out statement on the voluntary submission of personal data to an authorized person (the form of the statement is included in the Information Booklet 2025)
  7. The proof of payment of the fee for taking the entrance exam on the basis of the “Pricelist of studies and services at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering”.
  8. Diploma Certificates from republic and international competitions for candidates who, as third or four-year secondary school students, won one of the first three prizes at a republic or international competition from the Ministry of Education’s official competition calendar in MATHEMATICS (a photocopy and the original for inspection).
  9. Candidates who completed secondary school before the 2024/2025 academic year, when registering, must submit a signed statement stating that they have not been enrolled as state-funded students at the first level of studies (form available in the Information Booklet 2025) and a statement stating that they are enrolling in the first level of studies and the higher education institution in question for the first time (form available in the Information Booklet 2025).
  10. The decision on the recognition of international secondary school documents or a certificate that the recognition process has been initiated (for the candidates who obtained international secondary school documents or completed the International Baccalaureate program).

Candidates applying through programmes of affirmative enrolment measures must also submit additional documentation required by the Call.

For taking the entrance examination and other administrative costs related to the application and examination process, candidates pay a fee of 4,000.00 RSD for each study programme they apply to, to the bank account of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade: 840-32848845-64, stating the purpose of payment as the entrance examination fee for the relevant study programme (specify which programme) and payment code 141 .

Upon submission of documents and application for the Call FOR THE SELECTED STUDY PROGRAMME, the candidate will receive a CERTIFIED CONFIRMATION OF APPLICATION FOR THE CALL FOR THAT STUDY PROGRAMME , which will contain the application number. The candidate must keep this CONFIRMATION as proof that the documents were submitted and must bring it with them when taking the entrance examination for THAT STUDY PROGRAM.

The Information Booklet on the conditions for admission of students to the first year of Bachelor (undergraduate) academic studies for the 2025/2026 academic year will be available soon. The Information Booklet contains all information regarding candidate application for the Mathematics entrance examination, the rules for conducting the entrance examination, the method of forming the ranking list, the enrollment procedure, as well as the required forms.

* NOTE: For foreign students who are self-financed, the additional part of the tuition fee for University of Belgrade is 2,500 RSD instead of 2,000 RSD.
