Lectures

Goal

Objective of the course is that students acquire academic skills and academic competencies for application of technical legislation. Through teaching activities, students acquire creative and specific practical skills that qualify them to work in their professional field - design.

Outcome

By successful completion of the study program student acquires the following skills: analysis, synthesis and prediction of solutions and consequences; development of critical thinking and self-critical approach; application of knowledge in practice; professional ethics; correlation of knowledge from different fields and their applications; development of skill and proficiency in the use of knowledge in field of technical documentation preparation.

Theoretical teaching

1. Technical regulations - laws, directives and standards. Project types as part of technical documentation. 2. Construction stages from building permits, preparation, construction, supervision and use permit. 3. Accreditation. Testing laboratories, control organizations and certification bodies. Quality system. 4. Basis for development of directives and standards in terms of content and responsibilities for implementation. Adoption of European and international standards (EN, ISO). Inspection bodies and their expertise.

Practical teaching

1. Legal obligations on the content of main projects - the elaboration of certain chapters. 2. The formation and content of the general and technical conditions by project type and content. 3. Designer obligations during preparation of technical documentation regarding the fire and explosion protection. Development of appropriate annexes required in the technical documentation. 4. Creating and changing directives. General directives that apply to all professions (supervision, construction, inspection). Conformity assessment. 5. Examples of directives related to technical questions. 6. CE marking. 7. Presentation preparation and public presentation. Content of the documents (letters, proposals, contracts...).
