Level of studies: Ph.D. (Doctoral) studies – Mechanical Engineering
ECTS: 5
Final exam type: written
Studying the behavior of general and standard machine parts and components, in operational and critical conditions, from the surface and volumetric strength, stiffness, operational life stability and energy efficiency aspect. Determination of the calculation load for the analysis of the operational capacity of machine elements and components, based on analytical, numerical and experimental methods.
Students will be able to: use the scientific literature on selected areas from the scope of the course; independently solve a scientific-research problems from selected area (development of appropriate analytical, numerical and experimental models); individually or as a team member; to transfer knowledge and skills to others.
Tolerances and fits. Behavioral problems of machine elements in static and dynamic operational mode. Axles and shafts. Universal (Cardan) joints. Sliding and rolling bearings. Thread joints. Power drives (frictional, gear, belt, chain) - calculation and simulation. Thread power transmission. Couplings. Springs. Inseparable joints.
Depending on the interest of the candidate, the resources of the General Machine Design laboratory are available.
No conditions.
Laboratory for General Machine Design, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; handouts, presentations, access to wireless internet and internet presentation of subjects with all useful links.
