The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Belgrade announces enrolment into the first year of Doctoral academic studies (Ph.D.) for the academic year 2025/2026 in the study programme Mechanical Engineering.

| I Right to Enrol in Doctoral academic studies – Mechanical Engineering |
Applicants are available to apply if they have completed studies at a faculty in the field of technical- technological sciences, possess knowledge of the English language and meet one of the following criteria:
Applicants who completed studies outside the field of technical- technological sciences may also enrol Doctoral academic studies under the same conditions, defined in previous paragraph, provided that they pass three qualification tests in mechanics, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. The tests are hold according to the schedule published on the Faculty website. These candidates apply and are ranked in the same manner as all other candidates.
| II Ranking Criteria |
Ranking is determined based on average grade and duration of previous studies.
Detailed criteria are provided in the Rulebook on Doctoral academic studies.
When compiling the ranking list, the higher education institution first ranks candidates enrolling for the first time at that level and institution, and then other candidates.

The Faculty publishes data on registered candidates, preliminary ranking list and final ranking list after the complaint period.

| IV ENROLMENT |
A candidate acquires the right to enrol if ranked within the number of positions approved by the Call.
A candidate may enrol as a state-funded student if ranked within the approved number of budget places.
A candidate may enrol as a self-financed student if ranked within the approved number of self-financed places.
Upon enrolment, a contract regulating mutual rights and obligations is signed.

| V Tuition Fee |
Tuition fee for self-financed students in Serbian language studies is 2,400 EUR (in RSD equivalent on the payment date).
Tuition may be paid in 10 equal installments.
| PRE-REGISTRATION PROCEDURE AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE |
Online pre-registration is MANDATORY FOR ALL CANDIDATES AND is done in the period from 06.12.2025. until 10.12.2025. and should be completed via the official DS pre-registration link - All instructions are provided on the website.
Submission of applications will be held on December 9 and 10, 2025 from 12:30 until 14:30 at counter number 7 of the Student Affairs Office. After submitting the application, candidates receive a verified confirmation of application.
| VIII Other Provisions |
а) Application for the Call
When applying, candidates must present original documents for inspection and, along with a completed application form photocopies of the following documents:
The Diploma Certificate and Diploma supplement submitted when applying for the Call will be considered valid higher education documents if issued by an accredited higher education institution for an accredited study programme.
A candidate who completed studies according to regulation that were in force before the Higher Education Law came into effect (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia” No.76/05, 100/07 – authentic interpretation, 97/08, 44/10, 93/12, 89/13, 99/14, 45/15 – authentic interpretation, 68/15 и 87/16) must submit Diploma Certificate, and instead of the Diploma supplement, a certificate of passed exams.
A candidate who has not yet been issued a Diploma Certificate must submit a certificate of graduation with a transcript of passed exams, and must submit the Diploma Certificate and Diploma supplement to the Faculty within one year at the latest.
A Diploma Certificate obtained through partial recognition of courses from professional studies is valid for ENROLMENT in the second and third level of studies only if the recognized exams from the professional studies programme do not exceed 30% of the total scope of the academic study programme (72/240 ECTS or 54/180 ECTS), in accordance with the Regulations on standards and procedures for accreditation of study programmes.
The Faculty is obliged to verify the submitted higher education documents. If it determines that the document was not issued in accordance with valid regulations, the candidate does not have the right to enrol.
If it is subsequently determined that the document on completed previous studies has deficiencies, the ENROLMENT annulment procedure will be conducted in accordance with the law.
Candidates who hold a foreign higher education document must submit confirmation that the recognition procedure at the University has been initiated.
б) ENROLLMENT
Candidates who gain the right to enrol submit:
Candidates who completed their previous level of studies abroad must also submit, upon enrolment, the Rector’s decision on recognition of the foreign higher education document.
The candidate who has acquired the right to enrol and does not enrol within the prescribed timeline, forfeits the right to enrolment and another candidate will be enrolled instead of him/her, according to the determined order.
