Acquisition of vocational lexis related to different engineering areas (engineering materials, machine members, internal combustion engines, aeronautical engineering, artificial intelligence). Training students to use vocational literature in different fields of engineering. Developing oral and translation skills in engineering English.

Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to: - use mechanical engineering vocabulary, - analyse and adequately translate engineering texts into Serbian, - use passive forms in oral and written language.

Terminology of the fields of engineering materials, machine members, pumps, turbines and internal combustion engines, aeronautical engineering, artificial intelligence. Interpreting charts. Descriptive grammar of English: verbs, active and passive voice, relative clauses.

Lexical and grammatical exercises (multiple choice questions, gap-fill activities, answering questions, translation). Academic writing – the essentials of professional communication in English and professional genres. Individual and group work.
