The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Belgrade is an institution of national importance and represents the foundation for the development of mechanical engineering science and industry in Serbia. It is the oldest and the largest higher education and scientific institution in our country in the field of mechanical engineering. Approximately 4,000 students are currently studying at the Faculty, and around 400 graduate each year. The Faculty has nearly 400 employees, of whom about 200 are engaged in teaching.
The Faculty implements lifelong learning programmes, as well as other professional development programmes outside the framework of study programmes, in accordance with the Law on Higher Education and the Statute of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is a higher education institution that carries out educational, scientific, and research activities in accordance with the Law and the Law on Scientific Research Activity. The Faculty performs higher education activities through academic and professional studies at its headquarters and in accordance with its field of competence, which derives from accredited study programmes (in the field of mechanical engineering).
Within the scope of higher education activities, the Faculty conducts research, expert-consulting, and publishing activities, and may also perform other activities through which the results of scientific and research works re commercialized. The Faculty implements lifelong learning programmes, as well as other professional development programmes outside the framework of study programmes, in accordance with the Law and the Statute.
