Acquisition of basic theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of application of mechatronic systems in internal combustion engines. Gaining experience in the operation and application of sensors and actuators in mechatronic systems of modern engines. Closer acquaintance with the structure of electronic control units (ECU) of modern engines and the specifics of the architecture and functions of microcontrollers, management principles and methods of development and testing of software intended for ECU.
Student through this course: Acquires and combines specific professional knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering and electronics. Complements knowledge in the field of engine management as a highly dynamic object. He is trained to form and complete a mechatronic system for the internal combustion engine. Masters the basics of the software development and programming process for the ECU. Masters basic data transfer techniques using ECU communication interfaces.
Introductory considerations on mechatronics on the internal combustion engine. Measuring transducers (sensors) Sensor characteristics. Measuring chain. Sensor calibration. Intelligent sensors. Actuators - Classification. Excitation of high voltage / high current electrical actuators. Digital signal acquisition. Microcontroller peripherals. Microcontroller communication interfaces. Hardware - Architecture and internal structure of microcontrollers. Memory. EUJ protection. Hardware functions specific to engine management. TPU block. EUJ communication interface. Microcontroller networks. Communication protocols. CAN, K-Line. CCP. Software - Assembler, C / C ++ and development environments. Principles of software design. In the cycle. Microcontroller programming. Code generation and testing. SIL, PIL, HIL. Control - Open and closed loop. PID controller. Control of mixture composition and detonation. Application of existing mechatronic systems in advanced engine management and diagnostic techniques;
Angular position and angular velocity sensors, control and command position, intake air mass flow, engine fluid temperature, pressure and detonation. Computational task in the field of motor sensors and digital acquisition. Ignition system. Injectors. Control of idle engine operation. Actuators of turbocharger group, distribution systems and suction systems of variable characteristics. EM valve drive. AD converter operation simulation. Specifics and examples of microcontrollers for motor applications. Demonstrations: digital acquisitions, applications of TPU function, communication in CAN network. Demonstration of microcontroller programming, SIL and PIL simulations. Review and analysis of control algorithms. Control the composition of the mixture. Detonation control. Detection of uneven engine operation.
