Goal

Introduction to all fields of mechanical engineering that are studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering through the presentation of practical work in the given field, namely: Aerospace Engineering; Agricultural Food Industries engineering; Biomedical Engineering; Control Engineering; Design in Mechanical Engineering; Engineering Graphics and Mechatronics; Hydropower Engineering; Industrial Engineering; Internal Combustion Engines; Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology; Mechanics; Motor Vehicles; Material Handling, Constructions and Logistics; Naval Architecture; Production Engineering; Process Engineering and Environment Protection; Railway Mechanical Engineering; Thermal Power Engineering; Thermal Science Engineering; Weapon Systems; Welding and Welded Structures.

Outcome

Upon successful completion of this course, students should: recognize the place and role of certain branches of mechanical engineering in the field of mechanical engineering; understand the goals, the content of the work and the current state of the art in particular branches of mechanical engineering; be informed in detail about the method of studying certain study modules of at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; be familiar with practical work in all areas of mechanical engineering studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; be familiar with the possibilities of application and practice of the acquired specific knowledge; recognize their own affinities and be sure of their upcoming (when enrolling in MAS) own choice of study module at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Theoretical teaching

Presentation of all fields (module) studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Introduction to laboratory resources at the faculty for practical exercises

Practical teaching

Examples of implemented solutions regarding the teaching topics () The task selection from the versatile field of mechanical engineering Searching the literature and internet resources Analysis of collected information and interpretation Independent or group work on term paper Final work on the presentations of term paper
