Goal

Practical experiences and the internship in the environment in which the student will realize his professional career as an engineer. Recognition of the basic functions of business system in the domain of design, development and production, as well as the role and tasks of a mechanical engineer in such business system.

Outcome

Upon completion of Skill Praxis - B, students should: gain practical experience on how to organize and operate the environment in which they will apply the acquired knowledge in their future professional career; gain practical experience in performing elementary engineering tasks; recognize the basic processes in design, production, maintenance, in the context of his future professional competencies; become acquainted to the colleagues communication model and informed about the business information flow.

Practical teaching

Practical work involves working in organizations where various activities related to mechanical engineering are performed. The selection of the thematic unit and economic or research organization is carried out in consultation with the coordinator. In principle, a student can practice in: production organizations, project and consulting organizations, organizations that maintenance mechanical equipment, public and utility companies and one of the laboratories at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Internship can also be done abroad. During the internship, students must prepare the report with a description of the work they perform, conclusions and observations. After the internship, they orally present report in front of the subject professor. The report is submitted in the form of a seminar paper.
