Lectures

Goal

Introducing students to the basics of mathematical logic, general and linear algebra and mathematical analysis, combinatorics, graph theory, vector spaces, and elements of analytical geometry. Enabling students to effectively apply acquired knowledge to problems encountered in professional subjects.

Outcome

The student will easily identify problems in professional subjects and apply the acquired knowledge, especially for solving systems of linear equations that appear in mathematical modeling of corresponding problems. The student is competent to solve problems in the field of computing with the help of an adequate mathematical model, especially applying combinatorics and analytical geometry.

Theoretical teaching

Mathematical logic, algebraic structures, matrices, determinants, systems of linear equations, combinatorics and graphs, vector spaces, eigenvalues and vectors of matrices, rank of matrices, systems of linear equations, analytical geometry.

Practical teaching

Solving various tasks and problems that accompany the theoretical part of the course. Introducing students to how to identify and solve problems in professional subjects and computer science.

Attendance requirement

Condition of attending the course is defined curriculum program of study.
