Student gain practical experience by staying in the environment in which he will realize his future professional career. Recognition of the basic functions of the information system in the field of software design, development and production, as well as the role and tasks of the mechanical engineer of information technologies in such a business system.
Training students to apply previously acquired theoretical and practical scientific and professional knowledge in information technology to solve specific practical engineering problems within the chosen company or institution. Introduction of students with: the activities of the chosen company or institution; the way of doing business, management; and the place and role of information technology engineers in companies' organizational structures.

Students could enrolled to professional praxis via either the cooperation with renowned companies or scientific and research institutions of Serbia from the IT sector. Professional praxis is formed for each candidate separately, in agreement with the management of the company or scientific-research institution where the professional praxis is carried out, and in accordance with the development of new information technologies from which the student previously acquired theoretical knowledge. Professional practice consists of involving the student in the work process of a company or scientific research institution, consultations and writing a professional practice report in which the student describes the activities and tasks performed during the professional praxis.
