Lectures

Goal

Introducing students with risk analysis, risk management and risk engineering in the field of process industries

Outcome

Students will overcome the basic concepts in the field of risk analysis, as well as the engineering approach to risk management

Theoretical teaching

1 Classification of industrial risks 2 Basic elements of risk in process plants 3 The physical quantities on the basis of which the risk is assessed: temperature, pressure, concentration 4 Classification of hazardous materials and processes 5 HAZOP and DOW procedures for risk assessment 6 Zone of danger of fire and explosions

Practical teaching

1 Auditorial exercises 2 Development of study on hazard area 3 Creating a HAZOP or DOW elaborate for risk assessment
