Understand the importance of diagnosing the state of an enterprise. Understand the complex problems of enterprise functioning. Become familiar with modern organizational concepts and determine cases when we can use them in an enterprise. Be able to solve identified problems using a multidisciplinary approach.
Upon successful completion of this course, students are able to: - discuss modern organizational theory, - distinguish complex organizational problems, - select models of organizational functioning, - apply modern organizational concepts, - solve complex organizational problems, - evaluate modern organizational concepts.
Modern organizational theory 2. Contingent organizational theory 3. Kandwala's model of organizational functioning 4. Mintzberg's organizational configurations 5. Barton-Obel's contingency model. Application of software packages in diagnosing the state of the organization 6. Donaldson's nео-contingent theory 7. Types of organizational structures in modern organizational theory 8. Organizational change. Diagnosing and managing organizational change. Case-study example of analyzing the state of the organization in a specific enterprise 9. Possibility of implementing modern organizational concepts in enterprises 10. Open questions and directions for further development of modern organizational concepts.
